Honouring the Energy Shift... What I Burned, What I Planted

To honour the powerful energy shift that I feel privileged to be a part of at this time in human history, I burned what I want to release from myself and the world on the night of December 21-22, 2012. And, on the day of December 22, 2012, I planted what I want to grow in myself and the world.

For the rest of my life on the planet, I pledge to use my power to do whatever I can to help us make this shift from separation to unity and love. This is why I do the Human Body Project.

What I burned. Plus: striving, trauma, martyrdom and separation. Ba-bye.

 I planted these:
Planted in the earth. Plus: fun, laughter, gratitude.
Planted this too. Plus: Human Body Project. Grow!

12th (!) Vulnerability Vigil (Rescheduled) and Last Workshop of 2012

The December vigil has been rescheduled for Boxing Day, Wednesday, December 26, 2012, 2:00 pm, corner of TransCanada and McKenzie, near the westbound bus stop, Victoria.

The Human Body Project Vulnerability Vigil for December will take place on Monday, December 17, 2012. This is the 12th Vulnerability Vigil of 2012!

For the Human Body Project, I commit to showing up naked and unscripted to share a visceral experience of vulnerability and our common humanity in performance and educational settings.

For Human Body Project Vulnerability Vigils, I commit to showing up naked and vulnerable in a public place as a form of art, activism, and education. In a gesture of gentleness to those who are affronted by nudity, I, and those who join me, hold a large sign that says "VULNERABLE" in front of our bodies.

The December Vulnerability Vigil is held in support of the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers.

We will honour and embody our own vulnerability, as well as stand in solidarity with those humans who work as sex-workers and who are among the world's most vulnerable. All humans, all vulnerable, all one.

In my role as creator of the Human Body Project, I will continue to hold Human Body Project Vulnerability Vigils at least once a month through 2013.

More information:

The Human Body Project is an example of "being the change" through choosing vulnerability. It is a form of healing. By choosing vulnerability, we erase us and them. I think words aren't adequate, which is why the work is experiential, but here's my Manifesto for more explanation: http://www.humanbodyproject.com/p/manifesto.html

People who join me can choose to be as dressed as they wish.

I hope you will consider joining me or consider holding your own Vulnerability Vigil wherever you live.

Recently, I wrote an explanation of why I do the Human Body Project for my 5- and 10-year-old daughters, which seemed to help grown-ups understand as well: http://www.humanbodyproject.com/2012/10/to-my-beautiful-daughters-attempt-to.html

I've committed to holding at least one Human Body Project Vulnerability Vigil a month during 2012 and will continue that commitment through 2013.

Sincerely, Tasha
